New Mini Bulletin Board, Notebooking

I quickly set up a bulletin board so that we could appreciate the heroes who helped shape Islam along the way. I of course, have been inspired by the recent course that I took and feel this is a nice additiion to the homeschool. It’s nothing fancy for now, but this is our “HEROES” cork board:

Abdul Muttalib

Up first, is a piece on Shaybah ibn Hashim, better known as Abdul Muttalib, grandfather of the Prophet, Peace be Upon Him.

We also discussed Suratul Fil and made an illustrated notebooking page for it.

Year of the Elephant

My daughter really enjoyed the notebooking page, so I will have to plan something similar for next time, InshaALLAH. I downloaded a bunch of free and purchased bundle sets of notebooking pages from www.notebookingpages.com a while back and this was one of the plain sheets in the back of the medieval set. I have tons of them for geography and so on that were free at one time from currclick.

It’s nice to find creative ways to learn but sometimes it’s a lot of work. It does keep us from burning out though.
